Jen and Peter at 501 Union, Brooklyn Posted by Spencer on October 19, 2014
Two irrepressible smiles. Two people completely in sync. Two people wholly themselves. That was Jen and Peter. In many ways, maybe in all ways, there’s really just nothing more that need be said. From the time I came to the time I left – in every part of the day, in every thing that happened, in every decoration, in every design – it was all them, all the time. Not as in all about them, but just all them in a simple, true way that made for a day full of fun, levity, charm, and smiles. What more can you ask?
McKenzie and Travis at The Green Building, Brooklyn Posted by Spencer on September 15, 2014
And so August continues, with an unprecedented streak of beautiful weather. Sunny with a hint of a breeze. Warm, but not too warm. A perfect way to spend some time at The Green Building with one of my favorite couples. McKenzie and Travis were so down-to-earth and real – I loved every part of the way they planned their wedding, and I loved watching them together. My favorite part came right after the ceremony. It was just a kiss – surely something I’ve seen hundreds of times before – but it was a kiss with so much joy and energy, you just couldn’t forget it.

Jessica and Rich at Jungle and Kinfolk Studios in Williamsburg Posted by Spencer on September 11, 2014
An intimate, simple, Williamsburg wedding on another shockingly perfect August day. No bridal party, no formality – just a lot of great people having a great time with a plenty of hugs and warm smiles. It was a perfect match for Jessica and Rich’s fashionably relaxed style – two people so clearly comfortable together, happy to be there, and full immersed from top to bottom the whole day through. Oh, and did I mention the lanterns? Check out the lanterns towards the end of the day. Beautiful!
Ellen and Will at The Green Building, Brooklyn Posted by Spencer on August 27, 2014
It’s always the smallest of things that catch your attention. The way two people stand. The way they look at one another. They way their bodies move around when they’re together. Sometimes, as with Ellen and Will, there’s a comfort there. Not as in two bodies entangled and entwined, but something much simpler. More familiar and comfortable – elegant – which is one of the most beautiful things of all. When a couple is so familiar with the other’s presence, that they just naturally reach out and know the other as part of them. Makes for a perfect sort of Brooklyn day.
